food trays in halls

I guess BWV members are generally more base than other members.

They were the ones that whined so loudly about their 'prefered view" that it cost us all more admistration fees and tissues.

Seems that they are the ones that don't consider leaving boardwalk garbage in the halls for others to clean up being disrespectful to their neighbors.

They just seem to like filthy tenemant living.
It is shocking what some people post!

but I forgot to mention that not all of the trash was on trays. Some of it was just trash bags and pizza boxes and even in front of one room they put out a pile of towels with no MK in sight.

What makes you think its BWV owners that do this. We're not the only ones that stay there. Maybe its Rich getting in at 7 months and showing us what he thinks of the BWV. He sure does a lot of bad mouthing about the BWV's:rolleyes:

Do not be sorry, When someone posts and it's tone is inherently nasty. Imagine if You had to talk to these people. I learned the hard way. It only gives credence to the responses. ::yes::

calling room services must be a new thing - I certainly don't remember it the last time I called them - the lady who brought it just told me to place in the hall nothing about calling them.

I am so sorry, Paults, - some members do not understand that they need to put their trash in the containners - I guess if I got upset about this I would either call the manger or my sales guide - of course knowing me if I happen to come out when these people were coming out - I would definitely tell them where their trash was surpose to go.

some members do not know that they are surpose to take out the trash - it is their "home".

you know come to think of it - I don't know where the BWV trash is surpose to go -

VWL has it is some of the closests - and at OKW it is on each floor - where is it at BWV? I guess since we ate out more there I just never had to take out the trash.

I have never stayed at BWV. Do they not have trash areas like OKW?

Simba noodle.. Yes of course there is a trash room. the problem is people not bringing it to the trash room. Whether they are misinformed about where to put it or just lazy, remains to be seen. Somtimes it does happen. If they do not take out the bag simply call guest services and let them know. they will I am sure pick it up. Should they have too? no. But, somtimes they will have to.

That is terrible. I know people will say that alot of the problem is renters, but it seems there must be quite a few members too.

Our villa's are still our homes away from home and no one picks up trash at our homes if we set it outside our doors. People should take care of their own trash.::yes::

I think we have pretty much covered the room service tray issue, the room service trays are put in the hall while awaiting pick up. As far as this requiring a phone call seems to depend on which CM you are talking to. As for trash in the halls, I think Disney should make the the Villa's trash pick up policy and the trash room locations more pronounced in their check in information packet. Unless someone really takes the time to read the resort's "newspaper", many times the guests do not know what to do with the trash. I honestly do not think the guests are trying to be disrespectful, or uncaring slobs they probably think this is what is supposed to be done with the trash. I am sure many times these people are those who usually stay in WDW rooms with daily housekeeping and are not real clear on how the cleaning and trash removal in a DVC villa works. Also many times housekeeping will leave a bag of trash in the hallway while they are cleaning the rooms. I have seen this at every WDW resort I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in almost every resort on site.
I can honestly say I have never noticed this to be a problem, yes I have seen an occasional room service tray or a bag of trash but they are always gone pretty quickly also. However if you have noticed this to be a problem, you should most definitely bring this to the resort management's attention.

...............I agree.

We just returned from a week at BCV. At any given time I would see anywhere from 2 to 4 trays sitting outside doors as we made our way out of the back of the resort over to Epcot. We traversed quite a bit of hallway pushing a double stroller with 1 child walking. Our oldest was the one who brought the trays to everybody's attention. He didn't understand why someone would set a tray with dirty dishes in the hallway. It is fairly standard to see this type of thing at most any hotel so I suppose a DVC resort offering room service will see the same thing.

The worst thing that we have experienced was a group of teenagers (we saw them so we knew it was teens) setting pizza boxes ablaze at HH and tossing them off of the balcony to the leaves and woods below.....budding terrorists. We reported them to the front desk after stomping out the fire because how else are you going to answer the questions that your 3 and 6 year olds are asking about it if you are not going to get involved. Not comparing food trays in hallways to arson but just offering up something that really could be a problem.

We were on the third floor and while we didn't see any food trays, we did pass a room with towels outside their door?
What's up with that?
Our group just figured someone was upset because they didn't receive the trash and towel service on the correct day.
