I plan to have a frig at the HRH and get some stuff delivered on the day we arrive but if we need to get some more milk or bread/buns etc. is there somewhere within walking distance that we can pick this stuff up at? We could cab it if need be but it's nice to be able to walk...though I find Orlando is not a really walk friendly place but that might be becuase its so hot that people don't want to walk much...don't know...but if there is some place near by....Thanks!

We just returned, we walked to Walgreens from the Hard Rock hotel. We also ate at Carrabba's right across the street from it, I would say it was about 3/4 of a mile away.

I'm Canadian so we don't have Walgreens here, but I thought it was a drugstore? I gather it has the staples as well as all the drugstore stuff...maybe like a Shoppers Drugmart here....any Canadians who know both help here. Sounds like its a doable walk though. Are there sidewalks as that seems to be an issue with walking around parts of Orlando just freeways and no sidewalks. Thanks for the help.:yay:

walgreens also has a food and refridgerated section.

if you walk to walgreens and buy a lot of items, a cab would cost you $5 to return to RPH.
if you are staying at hrh or pbh, might be less cost.

if you are having items ordered and delivered to your hotel, why not include the milk and staples ?
would save you a trip to walgreens then.

are you using Garden Grocer for your delivery?

I don't know about Shoppers Drugmart, but I've been to a London Drug or two in Vancouver that had lots of food! So if your area has a big London Drug, then it's like that. :)
