If I rent the points and stay inside the boardwalk villas, I get free transportation to and from the airport. right? This means I can save money by not renting a car but how do I get food to stock my kitchen for my family if I don't rent a car. I saw on the site that I cannot join the disney dining plan since I rent the points.

That is all correct. There is a grocery store at the Boardwalk villas if you aren't looking for a lot of groceries. It's more expensive than your average grocery store but not bad for the essentials. As a DVC member we can have the groceries delivered right to our room, you could probably do that if you rent points as well. Let me know if you'd like to see what the grocery store has to offer.

Yes, I would like to see what the grocery store has to offer. thank you very much.

another suggestion:
use ME, & rent a car from national at the dolphin (a VERY short walk from BW) for a day or more ~ grocery shop, hit the outlets ;) , etc

we got an intermediate there for under $115 total (inc taxes & fees) for 5 days using AMEX rate & ENT coupon (on mousesavers).
