I do exactly that with my foodsaver. I love it.
I make low carb pizza and freeze the leftovers into portions.
I make the low carb broccoli quiche and do the same thing.
I also can seal mason jars with my foodsaver. It keeps my pork rinds fresh. I don't eat them, but DS1 does. Usually the contents go stale before he can eat them, but not when I store them in my foodsaver in a mason jar and seal it with the jar sealer.
DH likes to eat those Skillet Sensation meals. Since he's the only one in our household to eat potatoes, I use my foodsaver to make meals for him. I buy potatoes in a 5 pound bag, plus all the stuff to make a beef or chicken meal. I place everything for one meal into a foodsaver bag and seal it up. That morning or the night before I'll take his meal out of the freezer, put it into the frig and then cook it on the stove for dinner. Great.
I prepackage meals I want to put into the slow cooker this way, too. If DH wants a roast with potatoes, carrots and onion I chop up everything, put it into a foodsaver bag with the meat, seal it and freeze it. When he wants a nice meal in the slowcooker it's ready to go. Just thaw and put into the slow cooker.
This evening I'm having one of my diced chicken and veggies slow cooker low carb meals I made ahead. That's one I froze last month. It smells yummy. I just took my freezer bag out last night and thawed it out in the frig.
I've had no freezer burn, either, unlike my Ziploc freezer bags.
Just some ideas from a Foodsaver lover.
