Food Rocks closing?

I just read on Deb's site that Food Rocks is permanently closing on Jan 3 to make way for the new Soaring Over California attraction. Does anyone know if they'll still show Food Rocks on Jan 3 or is Jan 2 the last day? January 3 is our first day at WDW(as well as my birthday!) and I'd love to see the show before it closes. I'm gonna miss Food Rocks...

Yes Food Rocks is closing. They are making it a waiting area for the future attraction Soaring over California. We too are going to miss this show! I made sure to take lots of pictures in October so DD will have something to remember.

I really liked it too- but my boyfriend thought it was the silliest thing he's ever seen so i guess he'll be happy its going so he wont be 'tortured' next time we go!

The last day it shows is on Jan 3. It will start to be disassembled on the 4th.

I was so mad when I found out it is closing the day BEFORE I get there. I can handle it closing (though why can't we have Soarin AND Food Rocks, for those of us that enjoy the silliness?), but that I'm missing it by one day is annoying! Oh well, I guess it would have to happen to somebody.

I will miss Food Rocks, but Soarin is the absolute BEST ride

It will be a great addition to Epcot

Sounds awfully silly. Though I've been known to like silly things. I'll be sure to check it out. Though I wish they had a California Soaring. It's such a great ride.

I heard about this a while ago and really can't say I'll miss it. I'm still greiving over the closure of Kitchen Kabaret.

No, from everything that I have read and heard. It will be an exact clone to the one in DCA. It is suppose to be..get this..."Disneyland's birthday gift to WDW." Even though it will be DL's 50th birhtday soon. And that park is the one that really needs some new stuff.

I am looking forward to the ride coming the FL area, but I was really hoping that it would be getting a new movie. Like flying over the world, seeing how it will be at EPCOT.

But a rumor that I have heard was that they will be changing the movie in FL after it has been there for a few years. I don't know if this is true or not.

I will miss Food Rocks, but I'm excited about Soarin! I just wish they would keep it around one more month so that I could see it one last time!
