Has anybody tried the cheddar cheese stick at Corn Dog Castle? Looking for a veggie option...

I noticed that Award Wieners has a veggie option, but I hate mushrooms. Thinking that I could just get the peppers, onions and cheese...anybody tried that?

Is there no place in either parks to get a ham sandwich?! I swear I looked at every menu and there's a ton of turkey, but no ham. A ham sandwich is something my kids would actually eat!

At Maurice's Treats, I'm curious to know what the Strawberry Rose Twist and Grey Stuff Twist are...

And finally, I feel like this has been asked before, but is it possible to get the pomme frites to go?

Cheese stick is gross. The outside is slightly melted the middle isn’t at all. Eww. Only tried it once.

I don’t eat mushrooms. I just pick them out. I haven’t tried asking to not have any. Couldn’t hurt to ask. It’s tealky tasty. But the size has gotten so small I’m not sure I’ll order again.

I’ve never gotten the time pommels frites to go. I don’t think they do that. They’re not that good either.

Does your hotel have a refrigerator in the room? You could make ham sandwiches in the room to bring into the parks each day. Disney does let you bring ready made sandwiches into the park, but not sandwich fixings separately. It would be easy enough to have groceries delivered to your hotel or to pick up bread, ham, zipper bags, etc. so that you could have your kids' sandwiches ready to go each morning.
The pp is correct that Cafe Orleans does not do food to go, so the pommes frites must be ordered to eat in.
Instead of the cheddar cheese stick, you might try the deep fried mozzarella sticks at Golden Horshoe (used to be at Stage Door Cafe).

I've had it a couple times. It is good, but kind of rich. I don't eat a lot of fried foods, so I have to be very hungry. I think I had a slight stomach ache after eating it.

I haven't had any of the other items you are asking about.

Nope. No ham sandwiches, at least not that I’ve noticed. Unless you count the Monte Cristo but that’s a whole other animal.

The twists are a long puff pasty twist with some flavor. Strawberry is obvious, grey stuff is chocolate. Here are some photos. I liked it, was melted all the way thru, but it was very rich, and could only eat about 1/2.

No, sorry, they don't do that.

As Malcon10t said, the TS locations do not do "to go" orders, so to get the pomme frites at Cafe Orleans, you have be seated at a table and then place your order. The Red Rose Tavern has a very similar offering that comes as a side to some of the entrees, but it does not include the rémoulade which comes with the fries at Cafe Orleans (I don't know if you can order a side of pomme frites without an entree...I haven't asked/tried that).

I loved the cheddar cheese stick from Corn Dog castle. Mine was melty and delicious.

You can buy a side of pommes fries at Red Rose Taverne. No remoulade though. But, if you want some truly FANTASTIC garlic fries, go to Uva Bar.

We love the twists. My favorite is the strawberry and DD likes the grey stuff. They're just pastry swirled with those flavors. Always a fun breakfast treat.
