food question

Hi. It has been so long since I have been to disneyland. Can someone tell me if
we are allowed to bring a backpack in with our own sandwiches and bottled water? Thanks.

Yes you sure can. We bring in snacks, water, etc. and have never had a problem!

Recently I went and we had a backpack full of bottles of water and granola bars!

However, you apparently can't bring sandwich fixin's into the park. A loaf of bread, various containers of condiments, packages of cheese and meat, etc. stand a good chance of being rejected. So make sure any food you bring is prepared and ready to eat.

I assume this is a safety holdover from the days when mustard, ketchup, mayo, and such came in glass bottles.

I thought it was to discourage people from pilfering their sandwich condiments and add-ons that they have displayed in certain areas.

You can take ready made sandwiches but we've never done it. We do however take in snacks and drinks of our own, just no glass bottles.

I am sure the reason for why you can take ready to eat food and not ingredients is security related. You can take a peanut butter and Jelly sandwhich on an airplane but not a Smucker brothers squeeze bottle of PB&J to put on bread.
