Food poisoning?

Okay, I know this sounds silly but...

Tonight at dinner I was two bites into some onion rings and a hamburger when the room started spinning, everything got hot and I got very (TMI) nauseous. I was fine before then, even hungry. Afterwards just the smell or sight of my dinner made me even more nauseous. And everything even got blurry. I had to rush out of the restaurant, I basically ran outside to my car.

Is there such a thing as sudden onset food poisoning? Oh boy that sounds silly.

Anyone know what happened to me? I'm better now, but still a bit dizzy and nauseous, nothing big.

I don't think so, however, long before I actually became diabetic I experienced Low Bloof Sugar and the attacks were often similar to what you described. Also, your equilibrium could pergaps be to blame? Did you move quickly? Bend over? Have you had an earache? I would call the doc if it did not go away or it happend again! Best of luck!:wizard:

No, I just sitting there curled up in a booth and poof. I have had migraines lately. :confused3:

Food poisoning does not come on that quickly. Also, if it was something with your stomach you probably would have gotten cramps of some sort. Your symptoms seem to be nerve and head related. It happens to me alot when I overexert myself and then sit down suddenly.
Since you mentioned having migraines there is a possibility those affected your ears and your equilibrium causing the room to spin.
I have experienced that feeling quite a bit (chronic vertigo) and I am so sorry you had to experience, especially in public (I passed out from an episode at a concert one...embarrassing!).
Take it easy and try a low sodium diet because that can help with equilibrium problems.

Thank you for the suggestion, I will try that.
