sounds wonderful!! Question is: do we watch it 2 nights before we leave and risk spoiling the magic - my DD and Dh do not know what to expect (this is our first holiday trip)!? I have seen photos - but have not shared them so that they will be surprised and in awe!!!! Should I just save it for after we get back? Hmm....

I don't think it would ruin it at all if the 3 of you watched it before your trip! Seeing it on TV, as magnificent as it is, is NOTHING like seeing it in person. I think it will help set the mood for your trip, and just help to build the excitement!! Once you get there, you will see. I've been to DLR many, many times during the holidays, and I'm STILL awestruck each and every time I walk through those gates! The magic of Disney during the hoidays is really indescribable!

There's also supposed to be a Food Network show in the spring. While we were vacationing last month, we learned of a pastry chef competition being held at Epcot on 10/11. Sadly, that was the day we were leaving, but we did manage to stop in for a couple of hours to watch. They said it was scheduled to be broadcast sometime in the spring, but didn't have a firm date yet.

They suggested watching the Food Network website, clicking on TV, and then looking for upcoming shows for the Food Network Challenge.

Since we have TiVo, and I have several Disney wishlists set up, I should be able to find it that way too. But that only lists about two weeks into the future.

The theme for the competition was (of course) Disney. One team was focusing on Cinderella. One member of the team was decorating plates with a clock design, and another member was making white chocolate slippers.

OH, thanks for posting the dates...our DirectTV schedule only showed up to 11/27 midday yesterday when I checked. I'm thinking this is the one that will have my Dnephew's SIL...not sure if she will actually be on the program though. I just know that back in mid-October she told Dnephew's them that they were filming while she was working at GF bakery. She is doing her second internship at WDW through her culinary school and told the family that she was the only intern who got to help. I think I'll give Dnephew a call to find out for sure.
