Food Network... Birthday Cake Challenge... anyone watching???

She is really immature. I remember that from the Rice Krispy bridge debacle. Why they keep bringing her back?

It is SO disgusting. I'd never eat anything at all out of that woman's kitchen. YUCK!!!!!

Both of the times I've watched her, I've felt that she's mocking the show. And I'm sure she's not, but that's the vibe that is given off.

Good grief.

This is more than mocking. This is complete ineptitude, and nearly total disrespect. Now this isn't exactly a socially critical show, but come ON! If you are going to participate, at least be somewhat serious about it.

The flying 10x sugar was absolutely ridiculously unnecessary. Even our five year old (visiting) yelled, "YOU DON'T DO THAT!!!!!" :sad2:

I thought the same thing. I couldn't believe she did that. And now she's setting the whole place on fire.

I really hope to never see her on this show again. She's a trainwreck.

I think it's the first time they ever needed to use a fire extinguisher on a cake...

Jill

Wow.

Her attitude is unbelievable. Kerri tends to grate on my nerves, but in this instance, she's correct. She is the client and the client is the one who needs to be happy.

I'm glad he won... but I'm surprised. I totally expected Zane(?) because his work was beautiful.

Words cannot begin to describe that so called "cake" she made. That was the ugliest thing I've ever seen on this show by far. It looked absolutely disgusting and I can't imagine anyone eating that. It was like something Shrek would have made. How embarrassing and insulting.

I get sick of her "artist" attitude.

I too thought that the guy that had to jump in for Norm did a FANTASTIC job.

I can say with absolute certainty that if she is on another challenge I won't watch it. She was disrespectful, her cake was disgusting, and the state of her kitchen was beyond messy. She was acting like an unhappy child. I can't believe she would behave in that way on TV. All I kept thinking while watching her was how much business she is losing by what she was doing. Not to mention how she doesn't really make cakes for customers, but for herself.

::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

I love this show and always watch when it's on; I agree with the thought of WHY DO THEY KEEP INVITING HER BACK?? :confused3 I hope this was the last we've seen of her. :rolleyes1

P.S. It's not her "artistic" ideas that I object to, but rather her immaturity and total disregard for the competition itself which in turns devalues it for all of the other contestants. I was glad to see them all laughing in the end after the cake had to be extinguished because it was getting a little tense before that.

I don't remember ever seeing her before & I watch almost all of the challenges. Maybe I've just blocked her from my mind.

That was absolutely disgusting though. It looked like a first birthday 'smash cake' after it's been smashed. Gross!

I so hope that they never invite her back! I do wonder how they decide who to invite for each Challenge. I think Jason did an awesome cake that really fit her style. I can't belive Buddy knew she wouldn't like those colors and did them anyway. Zane did awesome and I am sure he was a very close 2nd.

I loved Zane's cake the best. He really pulled through working with someone who was unfamiliar to the competition.

I agree with everyone's assessment. I hope they do not keep inviting her back for her drama. I'll write them if they do because I'll turn off the challenge if she is on it again. Totally disgusting. Her work, her attitude, her kitchen.

Buddy's cake confused me, why on Earth did he think that was a cake for her?

Dh and I watched last night. We were floored the entire time. I'm all for having an open mind, but wow. TG for the fire extinquishers:lmao: Not only did they save everybody in the building, but the monstrosity looked way better than it had b4:rotfl2:

As for Buddy, I have no idea what he was thinking. It was a nice cake, but for Kerry:confused:
