Okay, I admit it, I am addicted to the Food Network. I watch it every night. Why is it though, that it is never as easy as they make it look? Alton Brown was making popcorn the old fashioned way...on the stove in a big metal bowl. It brought me back to when I was a kid..before poppers and microwaves. The problem....I now am nursing a large burn on my finger, wiping oil off the ceiling, and pulling popcorn out of my hair! LOL!!

You forgot a lid!! I actually went out and bought popcorn and peanut oil after that episode and popped some. It went well, only a few burned pieces, but I used a big pot and lid instead of a bowl and tin foil. I did, however, scrape off some of the stove burner in my shaking.

Stir Crazy :thumbsup2 I've had mine since college.

I nearly ralphed when he poured half & half and sugar on popcorn and ate it like cereal. For me, those textures do not mix. :crazy2:
