Food Netowrk

..Another foodie here too :)

I love 30 minute meals, unwrapped, Cooking Live and Food Finds. But my favorite by far is Alton Brown/ Good Eats. He's such a geek, and it's always funny to see what crazy things he is going to cook with. I also like knowing a bit of the science behind cooking, it makes it easier for me be more creative if I know the basic science behind ingredients and methods. I've learned so much from that show. I'd take Alton over Tyler anyday! :teeth:

Don't get me wrong, Tyler is nice to watch. and it's even funny when women flirt with him- but I don't learn anything or get inspired to make anything because of that show. JMO

As much as I like FoodTV there are some shows I don't like... How to Boil Water.. he is soo condescending and the women don't seem to have any respect for themselves.. I just dont want to think that they are as dumb as they act! Molto Mario.. I just don't have the attention span for it, and is it me or does it seem like he is always making the same 2 or 3 dishes?

Thanks to food network.. I've tried alot of things I probably wouldn't have touched. It's nice that they have a great website to back it up with all the recipe info. Also, if you go online while the show is on, the episode information and recipes are right there for you, very cool!

I love the Food Network! It’s kind of funny, though, but I’d rather watch someone else cook than do it myself. I’ll watch almost any of the shows, unless they’re making something I don’t like. My current favorites are: Chocolate with Jacques Torres, Food Finds, Unwrapped, Top 5, Semi-Homemade, and Home Cooking with Paula. I also like when they show festivals and cook-offs – like a BBQ cook-off I saw recently.

You're right about that. Oh what I wouldn't give to have a food emergency ;) .

I've tried my best to think of one. Guess that's the downside of being a good cook.

Alton is my favorite though and his show is so much fun.

I have the Food Network on any chance I get. I have not seen anyone mention The Best Of. I also like Unwrapped, Top 5, All American Festivals, Follow that Food, Food 911 and many more. :o

Great News everyone they are going to show Disney World Unwrapped again on

Yes! Alton Brown is our favorite :)

Additionally, between Foodtv.com and Epicurious, with a slight spattering of Martha Stewart, I can find just about any recipe I'd ever want to adapt. Whee!

I love the Food Network. I have since the day it came on my cable system. I knew it was a great idea from day one.

I miss a couple of the shows from the early days. Namely, Two Hot Tamales and Debbie Fields' show.

Last night, I watched Dweezil and Lisa for the first time. It was cute, but probably not the best cooking show of all time.

My HEART, Tyler Florence! He's the TY of Food Network! </center>

Robin, a girl after my own heart. I absolutely love Tyler Florence. When he comes to my house to help me cook, I'll be sure to invite you and your son;) Let's hope it is soon.

And as much as I love Tyler, I dislike Bobby Flay as much. The guy is a little to cocky for me.
