Ok we are flying to Smugglers Notch Vt. next week YEA!! Anyhow I hardly ever fly and my kids (DS13 and DS4) have never flown. I was wondering what the rules about food and drinks are on the planes. Example: I was to bring some laudry soap.....it will be in my suitcase....not a carry on....does that matter?? I was also wondering about snacks for the 4 year old. Some bags of ceral....goldfish....cookies....Are they allowed???

Please help!!!!!

Liquids in your checked luggage are fine. Just be sure to wrap them well. The pressure in flight can have strange effects on things.

As for food carried onto the plane as long as it isn't a liquid or gel, it's fine. Some TSA checkpoints have had issues with peanut butter, so keep that in mind. If it's already on the crackers - ie Ritz bits, etc, that's fine, but jars of PB have been a no go.

Have a great trip!

Liquids in checked bags are fine its carryon that has the restrictions.

Carry on liquids must be 3.4 oz or less and fit into one quart size ziplock, one zplock per passenger.

Here is a link to the TSA page, we find it helpful and check it fairly often before we fly.

You can bring beverages and or liquids purchased after the security screening onboard with you.
