Hi,
I'm trying to decide if I should send a package to my resort (CBR) ahead of time or try and purchase stuff when I get there. Is there anywhere that lists some of the items available for purchase there? I'm just looking for some snacks, sometype of breakfast item, and water. Do the DVC resorts have a better selection? Also is there any nearby gas stations to DTD that I could walk to and just bring the stuff back to CBR?

Generally the store have snacks but nothing major. DVC resports do have a bigger selection including frozen foods and perishables because they have full kitchens in most of the rooms. There is a gas station at DTD that is across the street from Pleasure Island. There is also a gas station across the street from the Boardwalk resort.

Goodings, Winn Dixie, Publix is down the road from DTD. You could always take a cab and return to CBR with your items.

LibertyBelle and safetymom,
Thanks for the ideas. Safetymom any ideas on how much a cab ride to Goodings would cost?

I noticed bread, muffins, cookies, bagels, frozen tombstone pizzas, frozen burritos, stoffers dinners (like mac & cheese, lasagna, shepherds pie) hagen daas ice cream, peanut butter, butter, lunch meat, cheeses.

We took a cab from the GF to Gooding's years ago. The price was $20.00 and the cab driver said he could not wait. We would have to call back and ask for another cab. Also Gooding's is the most expensive place on the planet!! I would go somewhere else. I WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN.
There is a Publix very close that we found was much more reasonable.

You can also try wegoshop.com. We have not used it yet but I have read some good reviews on this board. They will deliver the food to your room.

Office Tigger I will look into the wegoshop website thanks for the idea (I have never heard of them!) :)

Cass thanks for posting all of those itesm :D

I would avoid Goodings and go right down the road to Winn Dixie. Goodings is outrageously expensive.

There is a small store at the Boardwalk that sells a variety of foods and misc. items. Plus Cass posted all the necessities are right at the resort gift shop! I would just shop there!

No idea on the cost of a cab ride but if you took the bus to DTD and then walked to the store you could save on one way.

I am one of the few that likes Goodings when you go on vacation. Yes some items are more expensive but I love their premade foods, sandwiches.

Not much further if you are using a cab is Publix or Winn Dixie. Publix is great because if they have specials you don't need a store card to get them.

You could also ship in some of what you need to CBR. Schedule it to arrive several days before you arrive in case it is delayed. Then pick up the perishables when you get to CBR.
