Good morning all. Can I bring a backpack with water bottles and snacks into the parks or is this a no go? TIA

Yep! No issues at all - do it all the time!

Fair warning, however, they changed the lockers so they're smaller so if you plan on going onto attractions with bags you'll need to have someone stay with the bag unless you want to be charged for a locker.

Hmmmm. Good to know. Read somewhere that the lockers were free

Yes, we brought snacks and drinks in just to hold us over til we had meals. I've never known Disney to have free lockers unless this is something new.

UO has some mini lockers for the rides that require hands free, meaning no carry on while you do the ride

Yes, Disney doesn't have free lockers. This is thread is part of the Universal section of the forums.

There are several types of lockers at Universal - they have recently switched over some of these to the new format but some rides may still have the older ones in place.

Generally, there are two sizes of ride lockers (see pic below) with the smaller lockers being free, and the larger ones costing, I believe, $2.

However, there are some "water" rides that "offer" lockers (they are not mandatory) but they charge for both sizes - $4 for the smaller ones & $5 for the larger ones. These are available at Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls, Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges and Jurassic Park: River Adventure

Thanks for the pictures of the lockers!

Having a visual really helps our readers
Kind of like a picture tells the whole story

If you forget the number of your locker, staff is very kind and patient in helping to find your locker
But it’s very helpful to remember which section your locker was located

( based on personal experiences)
