Looking for some food gift ideas. I’ll be there a few weeks before Christmas and wanted to get some stocking stuffer type stuff for family and co-workers. Some ideas I had:

  • Pandora treats (saw them on some sites when it first opened, but don’t know if they’re still on sale)
  • Gingerbread items from GF and CR (do they offer both hard and soft baked? I’ve bought shingles from GF before and not everyone liked that they were soft)
  • Chocolates from The Ganachery and GF (kind of afraid TSA would make me open them as they’re not factory wrapped; don’t want to leave in checked luggage)
  • Animal Kingdom chocolate bars, coffee, and bbq sauce (bought on previous trip, but not sure if still on sale)
  • Caramel corn (not sure if the made on site varieties will travel well, but maybe the Werthers pre-packaged bags from the Germany Pavilion although I don’t know if they’re as good as the fresh made)
I’m looking for WDW specific stuff or hard to find items. I’m from Southern California so just Disney Parks branded treats won’t do since a lot of these gifts are going to people that have Disneyland APs. Also, some of the international items from World Showcase are actually pretty common here (actually planning on hitting up one of the Asian markets here before I go so I can get some Japanese candies for my Florida friends).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I love the sour taffy from goofy candy co. Like saltwater taffy but tangy.

I adore the fresh Werthers caramel corn, but sadly, it does not keep well. It is pretty soggy and stale even by the next day, even in a sealed container. Not that it keeps me from eating it.......but it would keep me from gifting it.

Sorry, I don't really have many other good ideas. I worry about how long the fresh made stuff will keep, but don't really like the pre-packaged stuff either. Although I do like the gingerbread idea, and the decorated krispy treats do keep and travel well.

Have fun shopping and eat some caramel corn for me!!!

My son loves the Caramel popcorn in Germany.

I live caramel nut apples from the main st confectionary.

Not sure if you know anyone who likes tea, but when we were there this past March there was an Alice In Wonderland flavored teabag set that we got a couple boxes of to bring home. Gave one to our coworkers and one to my mother in law, all of whom love tea, and they really loved it! My fiance even tried a couple flavors and he wants to get some for himself next time!

Even though it probably isn’t as good as the fresh made stuff, I think I’ll grab a bag of the pre-packaged caramel corn in Germany. They have ones with pretzel pieces and chocolate that look good. Of course I’ll be getting a bag of the fresh made for myself while I’m there.

I get that stuff at Disneyland and love it! They stopped selling them for awhile here, but they have been stocking it again recently.

@clippers6 - When we fly out of LAX, we’ll stop by Gardena and get a box of manju to take to our CM friends. We also take a custom selected box of See’s Candies. :)

To bring home from WDW, we stop by Goofy’s Candy Co. to get the custom-made pretzel rods, and apples if we are flying back to CA that day.

When talking to the CMs at Marceline’s, they always think it is so cool to custom-make treats at Goofy’s. We also discuss how only DLR has the caramel-dark chocolate marshmallow wands!

Anyway, maybe your friends would like to place an order for custom pretzel rods:

I always bring my Florida friend See’s Candy too! I guess they have stores down there, but it’s not as common as it is here. Hard part about going to See’s is not buying a bunch of stuff for myself.
