My son's class is doing "state projects". He was assigned the state of Kansas. Today he told me that he needs to bring in a food tommorrow that has something to do with Kansas. Apparently the class will eat it on Monday
so it can't be something too perishable. My son asked if he could bring in corn bread but I'm not certain that will keep 'till Monday...he asked about sunflower seeds--which seems easy enough...but I was wondering if anyone from Kansas/familiar with Kansas has other suggestions? Sunflower seeds will certainly keep, but I have visions of kids spitting seeds or other issues that could arise.
TIA
