Food Courts

I have seen many people post on this board as well as others that the food courts at POFQ & POR are not that great and that they prefer CBR's food court. Could some of you please elabaorate? What makes them not so good? and why is CBR's better? We stayed at CBR last year and enjoyed their food court very much we just figured all of the food courts would be about the same in quality just having different decors. This year we are planning to stay at POFQ mainly because of the convenience of it's compact size. If we plan to frequent the food court will we be disappointed? What are the other major differences between these resorts?

It's been awhile since I've been in the food courts but I liked them all, CBR, POR, POFQ. When I stayed at CBR you paid for your food at the counter you ordered at. At POR and POFQ you ordered your food then got in a different line to pay, 2 waits in line versus 1. I'm not sure if the food courts are still like that.

I can only speak to CBR's food court. When we stayed there in December, you could get whatever you wanted from whichever food station, and then pay at one central location, so you could mix and match, so to speak, from several places. Actually I think that's more efficient than paying for my salad in one place, my burger at the next and my dessert at a third.

all the food courts except CBR had that method - they recently changed CBR - to paying only once.

I like the hamburgers much better at POR than CBR.

Having only stayed onsite once, at POR, the DH and I were very impressed with the taste, quality, choices and portion sizes at the food court.

We were using the Quick & Casual vouchers, but thought the prices were reasonable.

Looking forward to eating there again in November!

So they finally changed CBR to paying for everything at one place like the others? Good because that was one of the reasons CBR is my least favorite moderate. Of course the last time I was there was in '00 so I may try it again

The food courts are very similar in taste and selection. You won't be disappointed at all!

I liked the Food Court at FQ better than POR.

They cook your hamburger to order - at least when we were there. Every lunch we could order our burger and they would cook it right then.

I do not know if this was due to the time of the year (slower time) or if they always do this.

The Food court appears smaller at FQ than POR but I believe they have the same number of food stations, just laid out closer than POR.

We have stayed at all the moderates, and I don't think you will be disappointed with POFQ food court. It is smaller than the others, but at least to our family, it didn't seem as crowded, and we loved it.

Rating the moderate food courts: 1. CSR 2. POFQ 3. POR 4. CBR
However, very little difference between all of them. You could frequent any of these and be very pleased.

Rating the overall resorts, however, we think there is a huge difference!
1. POFQ 2. POR 3. CSR 4. CBR

POFQ is one of our favorite places on the planet, and we even prefer it to several of the Disney deluxe resorts.
