I wondered if any of you could tell me how the refillable drinks are set up in resorts other than the All Star? We like to buy our cups then have free access to the refills! How does this work in the other resorts? Thanks for any help::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

At Pop Century, they're on an "island" outside of the food ordering / paying area. Definitely easy access. :)

At our recent AKL visit, mugs were refilled at the Mara. Operating hours were 6am-11pm. They had fountain drinks (sodas, lemonade, ice tea), fresh ice tea, coffee, hot tea, hot chocolate (yummy!) and water.

I think my kids each drank their weight in hot chocolate.

at AKL they are outside the food area in the dining room so very convenient. and the pool is right there so it is easy for the kids to go get a drink.

i didn't like it much at CRS because you had to get a pass that said you were entering for drinks only, go thru the food area and into the dining area to get your drink. then give the pass to the cashier. i tried not waiting in line a few times but they seemed to get annoyed when i did that so i often stood in line to leave. one plus at coronado, the pool bar filled your refillable mug which was super convenient for the kids.

i haven't been at CBR for quite some time but when i was there, it was in the middle of the food court and back away from the food counters so it was convenient unless you had a room pretty far away from the food court!

Most of the resorts have a drink island where you can refill the mugs yourself. CSR has self serve but you have to get a "ticket" to access the island. BC/YC have refills but they must be done by a CM, they may even charge for the refill I can't remember as we chose not to use the mugs at BC.

I know for sure that all the values and moderates except CSR have the self serve island. CR and Poly and AKL are the Deluxe resorts I have tried and they also have the self serve.

Perhaps if you post the name of the resort you are staying at or considering you will get more specific answers.

I'm not the OP, but would like to know how convenient the refills are at POR? We will be staying in Alligator (5 people) and want to know if it is worth the money to get the mugs? Is the station to refill convenient to the rooms?
Thanks!

There is a drink island in the food court at POR. You just walk right up and help yourself. No tickets, no casheirs, just self serve. It couldn't be easier!

Easy as pie there and a very worthwhile purchase!

We're staying at all star music and i'm wondering how the refillable cups work there. Can we just go into the food court and fill up the cup and walk away? Do we still need to go to the checkout? Can we fill them and bring them back to our room?
thanks

bevwells - there is a drink "island" in the dining area, outside of the checkout. Once you've paid for your cup initially, there is no need to go through the checkout at all. All you have to do is walk in, fill up, and leave! You can take it back to your room, or the pool, or wherever! So easy........ :D

thanksMrBsMomfor that information, i will definitely have to get some of them.

Yes- we love the CR. You fill your own mugs at the drink island in the Food & Fun center. Very convenient in the main building on the ground floor by the arcade, food n fun also offers sundries and fast food. You only have to wait in line if you are purchasing items in addition to refilling your mugs.

(If your in the wings rather than the tower it can be a walk from the furthest rooms!)

Thanks TJ,
I was afraid it might be a walk from one of the "out
bldgs", and that is probably where we would end up!
I appreciate your help
