i am going to disney with DH, DS and DD in July. The best piece of advice I can give anyone on a budget is to go online to www. entertainment.com and purchase an entertainment book for florida, currently $10 and $5 for shipping. It will save you money the first time you use it. Buy one!!!!

I bought the entertainment book a couple of months ago and I think I got free shipping to the UK and a discount because I said that I would buy the book for I think the next 2 years.

Are there any offers that would apply if you're staying on property? We like to park the car once we get there and not get back in until we leave, so driving around Orlando to use coupons isn't appealing (esp. considering we have a toddler and a baby).

Are you sure you want to spend your vacation waiting at bus stops and loading on to often crowded buses with a toddler and baby in tow? Keep in mind that there won't be carseats or seatbelts for the little ones (or the big ones). I've seen more than one child fly off his seat when a Disney bus stopped quickly or made a sharp turn. My advice, take the car. You'll get to your destination much faster and safer. Parking is free for Disney resort guests so there is no expense. Just a thought

We too park the car when we arrive and never move it. My Dh says it's the best part of a WDW vacation! We use those discount books at home all the time but i doubt WDW would have any discounts in there. You can order off site pizza to be delivered. Perhaps that would be in the book.

The All Star Cafe is in the book. There are a couple Downtown Disney restaurants in there as well (including some of the food courts at the hotels).

I live in Orlando and have the book, I would be glad to answer any specific questions.

I agree, the entertainment book would not work for DS and I. We eat most of our meals in the parks or in the resort restaurants. On our next trip we're having a free dinner at the Rainforest Cafe DD. By October I'll have $100 worth of free GC from mypoints.

I use the entertainment books often at home, but it really won't work for us at Disney.

I got us the entertainment book. I think you need a hire car and to spend a lot of time offsite to get your money worth out of the entertainment book. Its good for discount on tickets for gatorland and Boggy creek airboats. We did get a good deal with Dollar through the entertainment membership, on upgrading our car.
Time is money at WDW and I personally think spending the time driving to offsite locations is time that could be spent eating and having fun at the parks. Those park tickets & passes arent cheap!!

If you are staying near downtown disney hotel restaurants though, and visiting Universal its worth purchasing. We are going to eat at the Trattoria restaurant with our entertainment voucher in September.

I am a member of the Entertainment Club (I pay $70 a year for my membership)...and have a membership card. Can I use the card as opposed to buying the coupon book to get the same deals?
