Trying to somewhat figure out what to set aside for our food budget for our trip to Disney next month... The husband thinks that $1000 is plenty...I am not so sure. :confused3 We will be having breakfast in our room, bringing in snacks to hold us over till next meal (or that's the hope). Our kids are 9 and 7 and will each have a gift card for $300 to spend as the please, with some guidance of course. Kids are not huge eaters, we are not doing any character dining and lunches will be counter service. Not putting anything in stone for dinner ( i know not having reservations will cut out alot of places). Oh we check in on Sunday, check out on Thursday with three days in park. Anyone want to ease my thoughts...or prove him wrong!:rotfl:

You will be more than fine with $1000. Our last trip was 8 nights (7 park days). We ate breakfast in our room, lunch at CS, two TS meals (one was character dining) and rest of dinners were CS. I ordered off the kid's meal once or twice. We are a family of 6 and we spent less than $800 total :)

Oh and we bought lots of snacks in the parks! We love the snacks. The thing is though that we get one or two of something and share it rather than everyone getting their own.
