Hi,
I am brand new to these boards, and I was wondering if I could get some help.
My husband and I will be in Orlando 10/5 thru 10/12. What should my food budget be like. My husband is a pretty heavy eater and I am not. How much do you think I will be spending per day?
We are doing two dinner shows so those evenings are taken care of. WE will be doing a grocery run since we have a refrigerator and a microwave in our room. So I am looking at six lunches and four dinners
Also can somebody recomend a few good off-site restaraunts?
I am pretty much just trying to figue out how much we will be spending on food for the whole trip (six nights, seven days).
Thank you all very much.

We mostly eat on-site but do a lot of sharing, especially at the resorts. Sometimes I'll even get a kids meal. Where you stay has a lot to do with the cost of food. I think AS food courts are much cheaper than CBR or CRS. Our family usually plans $100 a day. I would think $50 a day would be plenty for two adults. My DH is a big ice cream eater so we have to include at least twice a day for that. Ice Cream at WDW adds up fast.

We are staying off-site at the Vistana Resort. So will $50 per day still work?
thanks,

We are a typical couple and are both average eaters. We eat breakfast in the room. We have a sit-down lunch and counter-service for dinner. Adding in a couple of drinks and/or a snack, we plan on $60-$65 a day for the two of us.

Hi
We're just the same! My husband and I along with two friends will be in WDW during the fall too. I was figuring about $20 per person for each lunch and $30 per person for each dinner. Not including the dinner shows we will be going to.
I agree that a sit-down for lunch and counter-service for dinner is the way to go.
We eat breakfast in the room. We tend to bring snacks like granola bars in to the parks with us.
As an aside, where can I get menus for the Universal parks? I like to have everything budgeted to the last penny if possible.

Always over budget. I would budget at least $100/day for 2 & if anything is left it is a bonus.

There are many off-site restaurants. Right in the Crossroads, which is close to Downtown Disney there are many chains. Take a L off of Hotel Blvd. & you'll find Olive Garden, Orlando Ale House, Chevy's, Chili's, Macaroni Grill, just to name a few.

Have fun.
