How much is a reasonable amount for a single adult (no kids) to spend on food each week......eating healthy not junk food.
Thanks!

op, I'm not sure if you mean food budget at the parks for a week or in real life for a week.

DH and I budget $100 per day, per person at WDW - buying all meals, snacks, water, etc. We go in May and I can easily spend $30 a day buying bottled water at the park - I basically always have a water, as I soon as I finish one, I buy another. Of course, some days we eat all counter service and don't spend the entire amount - some days we have reservations and can spend $50 each on dinner alone...just depends....

I prefer to overbudget rather than find myself short - so for us $100 per day is good number and we use that to plan our budget for each trip.

At home, right? Is this for food only, or as a household grocery budget for food, paper towels, shampoo, etc? If it includes everything, I would say around $70 - 80 per week for healthy eating. For food alone, you could do it on $50 - 65.

I agree....;)

I'm in agreement with that also.

We are family of 4(the youngest is 11) and try very hard to eat only healthy foods. We average about $120 per week on just food. I'm very careful to read all the flyers and buy whats on sale. When something is REALLY on sale I stock up. So some weeks I might spend $200 but then the next week it might only be $60 just for the perishables.

Single girl here and I do it for about $50 a week. I eat a TON of chicken which is pretty much a staple for me. I find it to be very inexpensive to buy 1-2 lbs of chicken breast (or get the big pack for a better per-pound savings) and cook some up on a Sunday night. I actually half the chicken breast which helps it cook faster and is more tender. That 1-2 lbs can last me all week with other stuff (i.e., chicken ceasar salad, chicken pesto pizza on a tortilla, chicken and pasta, etc.). Yes, I'm growing feathers.
