I like the food at Universal at IOA. I enjoy Thunder Falls Terrace at IOA and Louie's and Finnegan's at the Studios. The only place I would avoid at the Studios is the International Food & Film Festival...the food is fair at best.

Burger Digs has pretty decent burgers...Mel's too. Didn't care for the ones at Richters (SP?). Mythos rocks!

For table service restaurants, I suggest Finnegan's at US and Mythos at IOA. They're both great restaurants.

For counter service, I'm a big fan of the pizza at Louie's. There's also a Nathan's hotdog stand in Amity at US. We'll also stop for ice cream and shakes/malts at Schwab's Pharmacy across from the T-3D exit.

We also love lunch at Margaritaville and Starbucks in City Walk

I'm so sad about this! I hope they don't destroy the entire look of the restaurant - I loved the interior. It was my favorite place to eat in IOA, good food and large portions.

Oh we love the Midway Grill! Love Nathan's hot dogs, and I really like their fries too.

I don't think you were there on a bad day, that's kind of the impression I got as well. They weren't awful, but not the best. I will try Mel's next time - thanks!

I really love the way Ricther's looks but the food left me wishing I had choosen somewhere else to dine! We have eaten at Mel's quite a while ago and I don't remember much which if it was bad, I would remember...so must be pretty decent. Finnigins is good, or at least what our party had and I love the atmosphere. Monster Cafe didn't impress me at all but maybe it was just the pasta I had, it was dry but DD liked her pizza. The place that serves Nathans hotdogs by Jaws was good but those hotdogs are HUGE!

I like to eat if you can tell!

sorry mslclark - I am heartbroken to see this picture and sad that I have to share it with all the fans of EO. One can only hope that whatever they make it into, it will still be a BBQ place in IOA. We loved the food and theming of the Enchanted Oak/Alchemy Bar.

It will be interesting to see if they tear the entire thing down or incorporate it somehow. From the artists' conceptions, you can't see a big tree but it may be hidden behind the owl's wing in the photo.

I'm not crazy about Mels hamburgers but that's JMO.

That said, hands down for best restaurant: Mythos. Mythos Restaurant at Universal's Islands of Adventure has won the Theme Park Insider Award as the world's best theme park restaurant for the past five years.
