Has Dis released the type of food that Gaston's will serve? Will it be traditional counter service of something a little different? Anyone know or have suggestions as to what they would like to see? Just curious planning to hit the Magic again in 2012.

No Disney hasn't released what types of foods will be available at either of the upcoming restaurants.

Looks like we just have to wait.

No info yet... but I can't imagine it'll be much different from the CS crap they serve everywhere else, but with ever-so-slightly different touches/names to the menu items.

I seem to recall art somewhere that showed happy children eating turkey legs and drinking from beer mugs, presumably root beer or soda... probably plastic souvenir mugs, just $7.95 extra (no refills).

They haven't even released when it will be open yet.

Sorry...no beer at Gaston's. The best you can do is the root variety.

Also isn't it CS for lunch and TS for dinner?

That would technically be the Be Our Guest restaurant. I got the impression that Gaston's would be adjacent to it. So the original question in this thread confused me.

I don't expect we would hear any details until next year.

So they are adding 2 new places to eat, one CS/TS (Be Our Guest) and Gaston's Tavern which I can't even find out if its going to be CS or TS.

At this point, I have no idea if Gaston's is separate or part of it. But I did recall reading that the restaurant is quick service at lunch and full service at dinner.

Gaston's is supposed to be a CS.

The scuttlebutt out right now on Be Our Guest is that it will be TS at dinner and CS at lunch. What we don't know yet is if it will serve its own CS lunch (in effect meaning that the new expansion will open two new, separate CS restaurants) or if it will just provide seating for Gaston's at lunch, the way La Hacienda provides seating for La Cantina for lunch, but only serves dinner itself.

For a CS, probable menu items might include
. . . crumbly wheat buns
. . . reformulated nasty hamburgers
. . . other dumbed-down CS items

BE NICE!!! maybe they will have venison burgers and quail nuggets on fresh baked loaves of bread. Christmas goose with all the fixins and a bar to put cheese sauce and ketchup on it. It would be nice to have something a little different I dont think they have to stay with exact theme. For heaven's sake they serve pizza at Pinnochios, now thats traditional German fare.

Isn't Pinocchio Italian? :confused3

Thats my point, what is origin of Beauty and the Beast would it match that area or be the same old Americana burger and dogs. It is French I think so would they have some kind of French fast food. Maybe they could Lumiere fries since they did away with Figaro's at Haus. Is Haus a German word or Italian? I really am confusing myself now. It is hot today in GA. My brain is frying. :upsidedow

yes Haus is German and Pinnochio is Italian. Maybe they should serve a good Italian sausage sandwich or Pizza. I love CHH and Pecos more good choices would just complicate me and as you all can see that would not be a good thang.
