Food at Disneyland

I will be so excited if we get APs!
In all honesty, my husband and I both lose weight at Disney because of all the walking. I think it must add up to a few miles a day. We also swim alot with the kids, which helps. And it would not take too much time to do a quick 30-min workout at the hotel gym...then the eating would be sorta guilt-free...

I didn't realize Richard was so tough!

I just read a previous post regarding the Chimichangas. I was so excited about trying them this past week & honestly I would have to say that was the worst food item I have ever bought at Disneyland. I dont know if I just got a bad batch or what but it was so dark it was almost to the point of being burnt & all it had in it was beans and cheese. My mom bought it for us to share & I wanted so bad to get our money back but she said not to worry about it but what a waste of money!

Really that is terrible. Now I have never tried them but my kids always get them and they love them. They just have never interested me. Now I know to stay away from them. Thank you.

He's not really but he has been through a lot with me. I weighed 427 pounds when I started his diet in August of 2006 and I have lost 170 pounds so far. I was very ill when my husband asked him into our lives. I had to lose weight for major surgery or I would die. I lost 100 pounds before I had to have the surgery it was an emergency I had hoped to lose more. I ended up almost dying anyway. I was in the hospital for over five months last year, and there was a rough recovery period and Richard was a strength through all of it. In a lot of ways I owe him my life so he can nag me all he wants.:goodvibes

That's so cool that you know him so personally...inspiring story you have. I always just picture the 'media' Richad, I guess, not that he really is an individual, you know? Yes, in those circumstances I would feel accountable to him, in a good way.

You know the Richard you see and how nice he seems? That is the real Richard. The first time I met him he asked if he could hug me and pulled me into his arms and hugged me. He loves everyone.

Yes, that sincerity definitely shines through, and the open lovingness (is that a word?). I guess that is why I would feel accountable, but it would be in the most accepting and unjudged way. What a neat human being he is, huh? And you know him on a personal level, and that is honestly who he is. So cool!

You know he has open exercise classes that anyone can attend if you are interested.:goodvibes

Interesting food fact. A six inch funnel cake has less calories than an order of fries.

Hmmm...I guess I pictued a counter service place inside where the show is...don't know where I got that idea. Do people do that? Carry food in? Wouldn't want to be wierd, ya know, my kids would be mortified!:rotfl:

You can order from the Stage Door which is around the corner/behind the Golden Horseshoe, or you can go inside and wait in a terribly long line and get the same food along with YUMMY desserts, Mile High Cake, Hot Fudge Sundae w/choc chip cookies....mmmmmmm And yes, you can take food from other places into the GH, no one cares.

What a neat thing, to know Richard Simmons so well!! and it's great to hear he's the same IRL as he is on TV!! Congrats on your weight loss!!! How inspiring! I would like to lose 20 lbs and can't seem to do it......makes me crazy...I have no will power I guess. But you!! What an inspiration!!
