The quality of food seems to be poor at Disney as does cleaniness in the park Restrooms according to a lot of the posts I'm reading. Is Disney doing anything about this problem? Food is not cheap and cleaniness sooo important where there are several thousand people congregating. Any comments?

I can't remember an instance where I've had a problem with cleanliness in a disney park. Six Flags? Oh my, yes! The one near my place is disgusting! Disney? Very clean to me, at least. I do not doubt that people have seen Disney restrooms unclean at one moment or another because it's unavoidable, but I have never seen any patterns of uncleanliness.

So...no complaints from me!

Ask Eisner and his bean counters. Well, I guess technically he is not in charge anymore.

I think the food was much better when we were there 12/02 than it was when we just visited in 6/05.

I did not notice the parks being dirty....just crowded. If you have 90K people eating burgers, fries, using the restroom, buying souvenirs, etc...you can't have the park ****-n-span all the time.

(okay - stupid thing to blank out disboards!!!!)

in other words.....Can't have the park spotless all the time.

Just got back on Tuesday and I don't recall seeing any dirty bathrooms in any park. We also enjoyed all of our meals there, so I can't say the food quality was poor while we were there, even at our food court at ASMo.

I totally agree. Six flags is disgusting!!!!!

Great. It was fine last time I visited, but got a bit worried reading some of the recent posts.

I'm from New York, so dirty is on a whole different level here! Disney is like a SHRINE to me! You want dirty restrooms? Try using the ones at the Long Island Railroad stations or anywhere public in New York City! My dh and I always comment on how clean it is there, and I'm a neat freak, big time!

As for the food, I put on two pounds on my last trip two weeks ago so obviously, it wasn't bad to me! :goodvibes

AMEN TO THAT SISTA :rotfl: Check out ANY restroom (besides some Starbucks) in NYC and it'll take on a whole new meaning!

I would NEVER sit down on a curb in NYC to watch ANYTHING. I'd SLEEP on the sidewalk at Disney.

That is SO true!

When you serve the public there are bound to be bad spots. Disney’s’ been great for keeping it clean with as many people they have go thru there. I went to the water park at Dorney Park a couple of years ago. The wave pool was crowded, warm and when a saw a feminine product floated by that was it for me.
I’ll stick with Disney

I have been at MK for a week in July, a week in August and 2 days two weeks ago. I am going 10/23 - 11/02 and I have not thought that it is dirty, maybe ritght after a parade the streets are a little messy, but they are going along cleaning them right afterwords. I have no complaints about the food either. If any of you can remember how the food used to be back in the early 80's?!!! Yuck! Now there is all kinds of food, all kinds of places to eat, and I can't say I have had a bad meal there! Is there any meal or food you are particularly concerned about? I'd be glad to comment.

I agree with my fellow New Yorkers!! Disney was very clean the last time I was there (2 weeks ago) We have gone 3 times this year and have had no problems. Paisleyjane, I do remember the food at Disney in the 80s, it was fast food everwhere you went. I just put on a few pounds the last time too. The food quality has greatly improved, just look at all the different foods you can try in Epcot, and the hoop dee do revue has the best ribs and strawberry shortcake!!

We just returned and I cannot rave enough about the food! The only so so meal was at epcot and it was standard burgers and fries and I just wasn't all that impressed with it but the restaurants in general were awesome!!! Service in 1 was in my opinion slow but we were dining with 2 toddlers and I like to have my courses come fairly quickly before their attn span gives out. The restrooms we frequented were all very clean and I almost always saw an attendant around cleaning counters, filling the TP, etc. The only time I saw a bathroom that was even the slightest dirty would be around wet rides like the ones near Kali in AK but even those were cleaner that I expected. You will always have people that are nit picky and looking for the flaws instead of taking in the magic but I think that Disney keeps on top of these things alot better than most companies that service the amount of people they do.

We visit WDW many, many times each year, and have been for quite some time. The disney parks and restrooms used to be clean. Now, they are not.
People who know what real disney clean is would certainly know that now..the parks are dirty, very dirty. As far as the restrooms, well, we were there last weekend, and every restroom was dirty. We didn't even see any restroom attendants around, like their usually are.

Disney clean just isn't what it used to be, now it is just like every other theme park.

Nver really noticed a problem with the cleanliness at DL or WDW but the price of the food is another matter.

I posted my "complaint" about this on another thread about pet peeves. Basically what it boils down to for me is I have no problem paying whatever it is to get into the parks and for the great/unique souvenirs. I also don't have a problem paying when it's a themed restaurant or character meal.
But when we go to one of the casual eating places that all the parks have, to grab a burger or chicken strips or whatever, it bugs me that it's so expensive. It's just a burger! After paying all that money to get in, can't the casual dining places be more reasonably priced? I love Disney and the food is good, I'm just wondering why it all has to be high priced?

My boyfriend and I went last summer and we never found any problem with cleanliness. Was top notch everywhere - far better than any theme park back in England.

We also generally found the food to be pretty good. The Rose and Crown pub in Epcot was particularly good, as was the Rainforest Cafe (in both DTD and AK) and Planet Hollywood in DTD.

I think the prices are just about the same as prices in NYC. So, New Yorkers would consider the prices normal.

Seriously? I guess it's because I'm out on the Island, but they were high for me.
