Still scoping out various options but we might spend our arrival day with my parents hanging out in the Boardwalk area. Ignoring the character factor, which restaurant has the better quality food for dinner -- Garden Grove (Mediterranean Night) or Cape May?

FYI - no characters at Cape May for dinner.

I've not eaten at Garden Grove, but I LOVE Cape May.

Does anyone ever eat dinner at Garden Grove? I'm not finding any reviews anywhere. :confused3

I did find one post from a couple years ago that said the food was awful. That's it.

The characters would be fun, but Goofy & Pluto aren't particularly compelling. I'm leaning towards Cape May right now.

We ate at GG this last March when at the Dolphin for Spring Break. From what I remember the food was mediocre at best - definitely go for Cape May!!

We've never eaten at Garden Grove, but Cape May is one of our favorites....we eat there at least once every trip :goodvibes.

We ate at the Garden Grove last year for Southern BBQ night and thought it was pretty good. The breads and desserts were wonderful. It was definately better than Cape May. The service was better also.

I go to the Garden Grove, but I only go on Monday & Friday nights. Both of these nights used to be seafood, but they changed Monday night to Southern BBQ. I've found the food to be better than what is usually found at most character meals. I would definitely recommend it. Garden Grove is a more laid-back character meal. The characters aren't as rushed as they are at other character meals.

Quality and WDW buffets should not be used in the same sentence.
