Food and Wine Tasting Sampler?

Has anyone used the Food and Wine Tasting Sampler? Was it worth it? The description says for $59 your receive 8 entitlements. Does one entitlement equal one food item or one drink? What are limits?

We thought about getting it, but since we are upgrading to deluxe dining we will have way too may snack credits to use at the festival.

In calculating the average food prices at the booths the Sampler Package is not worth it. For most people there is little or no value to the reserved seating for the concerts. If you conservatively figure the value of the special pin at $10 you are now paying $49 for 8 booth items so each booths item would need to cost at least $6.13 for you to break even. There are very few food items that cost more that $6 so unless you purchase several duplicates if those items and the pricier drinks & Champagnes there is no way to break even with this "deal". We do not know yet what will be excluded but expectations are they will exclude beer and/or drink flights and at leat the most expensive Champagnes. If the pin is of no value to you it ups the need to value the booth items you will choose to a little less than $7.50 per item to come close to breaking even. Most people would do better to put that $59 on a gift card and choose the items they really want at each booth. I think the gift card would get most people way more than 8 items or for those who want the beer and/or drink flights they could get at least 8 items of what they really want.
