Food and Wine/Super Soaps??

Hi, all - DH and I booked a room at the AKL using the "come back" rate code during our late January WDW weekend trip for Nov 6-10. We did a "Food and Wine" weekend last year and couldn't wait to repeat the experience!! We just found out that Super Soaps weekend is Nov 8-9. How bad will the park crowds be - and will it mainly be bad in MGM or does it spread to all the parks? Our last F&W trip was the weekend of the golf tournament, and it seemed like the crowds were pretty light until the evening hours, when they were truly unbearable!

Oh, well...at least we got a fab room rate...AKL deluxe savannah, here we come...

I had the same thing happen to me two years ago. The crowds weren't bad at all. MGM was crowded, but the rides themselves weren't too bad, mainly because the crowds were attending the super soap weekend events. So yes, MGM will be more crowded than usual, but the other parks will be fine.

Thanks, Karen!! Now, if November would just get here...not that I want it to be winter again or anything ridiculous like that...just a little excited for AKL and eatin' my way through the festival!!

I have to agree with Karen. I was there that same time two years ago and although there were a lot of soap fans in MGM for the soap weekend once we got into the parks the crowds for the attractions were very managable. It seemed like they were all waiting for the Soap appearances and were not doing the stuff I wanted to do. I wouldn't hesitate to go then.
