I have my first full Epcot say planned for Friday September 26th and I am wondering if this is a bad idea? From what I've heard Saturday is crazy wall to wall people. My confusion comes with Sunday... on EasyWDW Josh says that Friday is a better day for Epcot than either Saturday or Sunday but some people have been saying Sunday is better.
I'm just trying to figure out which day I should put Epcot on!
TIA!:headache:

Friday is better from about 11-5. Then it gets slammed because the locals show up.

Saturday can be handled from 11-12 or so. After that it is slammed because the locals are there all day.

Sunday there aren't as many locals or they leave earlier. Monday-Thursday will be a lot better than a Sunday...but it won't be as bad as Friday night or Saturday.

So Friday is better during the day and Sunday would be better in the evening. Therefore I can't truthfully answer the poll one way or another.

I would expect possible Saturday type crowds on Sunday, October 12 because Monday is a holiday.

Sunday is much, much better.

It is two fold. Most families end their vacation on Sunday. Even if they are going to let the adults drink around the world they have to leave early for their flights back home and work on Monday. People are less likely to do all day drinking events. Also locals have to work the next day. Far fewer locals stay all night because they hang over from 22 different drink really takes a toll on Monday productivity.

Friday and Saturday are madhouses. I've seen Cava de Tequila have an hour plus wait just to get shots then and the Biergarten (beers in Germany not the restaurant) just as bad.

The Way that I tour is doing all of FutureWorld and then when I'm done move into the World Showcase (which I probably get to around 2pm) with this knowledge it appears Sunday would be better because crowds are starting to clear out at that time? Or am I mistaken that they clear out that early on Sunday?:badpc:

It won't be anything like Saturday but if your plan is to tour Future World first, then spend the evening in WS, go with the Sunday. Once you hit WS after 2 pm on a Friday, then you're going to be sharing it with LOTS of folks who are just getting off work and revving up for the weekend.

I've always found Sundays to be very manageable, but I've never been on a Friday, and I see no reason not to trust Easywdw. So long as you're avoiding Saturday, I think you'll be okay.

I know this is probably a silly question...but...is F&W only on weekends or during the week too?

Thanks!

Agreed!:thumbsup2

If you do go on Friday, try to be in WS at 11am to start hitting the booths when they open. Then go back to FW in the evening when crowds will be lighter over there.

For Saturdays do the heavy crowds include Futureworld or is it just WS?

I appreciate all the input guys! It's really helping me realize that Sunday is probably best for the way I tour.:thumbsup2
I think it's probably better to have BB/TL for that Friday because that's probably be less crowded than Sunday. So switching them will probably work better.

Thanks for the help!! All this input is greatly appreciated!!:worship::worship:

Of the two choices I voted for Sunday, but being a local in that time period I go Tuesday - Thursday.

It's everyday.

OP, is there some reason you can't wait until Monday to go to Epcot?

This is my schedule
Arrival Day (Tuesday): Magic Kingdom [closes at 7pm] -> Epcot
Wednesday: DHS
Thursday: AK -> MK
Friday: BB/TL
Saturday: MK
Sunday: Epcot (I know this might sound like a silly reason but, I have a Chef Mickey reservation for Monday and wanted to walk over to MK after. So if I am able by some miracle find a CM reservation for Tuesday I most likely would put Epcot on Monday, I just prefer not to wait an entire week into our vacation to finally get to Epcot for a full day...:faint: )
I also want to do a Epcot Wind Down at Tutto Gusto.
Tuesday: BB/TL
Wednesday: Universal
Thursday: Epcot?
Friday: ?
Saturday: DHS --> MK
Sunday: MK and MNSSHP
