I have not been before. Can someone tell me what the "Dining with the Senses" event is about. I think that is what it is called, Cost is around $85.00 per person, and the first one is held on Sat, Oct 18. I have heard a lot of people say it is great, but want to know what happens that night and if it is really worth $85.00 per person.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I believe everyone was waiting for July 24 to call for their reservations, and that everything was sold out almost immediately. See this thread http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=410453&perpage=15&pagenumber=1 for stories from those who did and did not get what they had wanted. There is something about a waiting list in there, so maybe you could try that.

As far as what the Party is all about, the Disney site may have info. and I know wdwig.com has a ton of info. from prior years.

It's true that the low-capacity private dining events (such as Reserve Dinners and Signature Dinners) sold out quickly on July 24.

But I would check with Disney Dining before assuming that the high-capacity Party for the Senses events have also sold out. Last year, people were even able to buy tickets on the day of the event.

I've heard only great things about the Party for the Senses, but I haven't been to one.

Something like 18 chefs, 50 wines/beers to go with assorted sample size foods. You get seating for the concert before hand, and then I believe illuminations afterward.

Sounds great to me. We have reservations.

Call, I don't believe all of these are sold out.

Thanks for the feedback. Still hoping to hear from those that may have attended this before and can tell me what the evening is like.

I may be too much of a meat and potatoes kind of person to appreciate this event, considering the expense and all.

It went by a different name when I went. It was a great time though. I was on a girls-only trip with a few good friends. We ate and drank ourselves silly then watched illuminations. The food was outstanding and the wine was incredible. It was basically a very large cocktail type party with a bunch of stations set up by different chefs and vineyards. I still remember that night fondly and would go back again next time the opportunity presents itself!

Enjoy!
