Food and wine festival

Hi there,
did anyone ever attented some of the special events at the Epcot Food and wine festival? I was looking at the Party of the senses and the 3D Disney dessert discovery parties. We did the Whishes party at Magik Kingdom, but wanted to try something new. Any comments???

1990 to 1992, off site with DB+ friends 1994 off site with DB+ family/
1995 off site DB, DS (2) and DD on the way 1998 off site DB, DS DD/
1999 off site DB, DS, DD, + family/ 2000 to 2003 DB, DS, DD All star Sports
2004 to 2008 Pop Century with DB
(after 20 years, let’s say DH), DS, DD and family
2008 to 2009 Pop Century DH, DS, DD/ 2010 and 2011 Pop DH, DD and her friend
September 2012 DH and me alone for the 1st time.
Can’t wait to check inn at the POP!!!

We have attended the Party for the Sense a few times. It is very pricey but definitely a good time. Lots of delicious food to sample and the wines to match. Entertainment was Cirque du Soleil. Smaller stage and you are really close up.

I would definitely recommend it.

We are looking at the 3D this year. Last year we did "Sweet Sundays" (I think that is what it was called) which featured a fantastic brunch buffet with champagne and then 3 desserts by a celebrity chef. They had the cake boss but he was sold out so we didn't see that one. Its very pricey, but definitely worth it.

DW and I did the inaugural Disney Dessert Discovery in 2010, it was the best $45 we spent that week. We bought it primarily for the VIP seating to Illuminations (which actually wasn't "seating' at all)...but the desserts were exquisite and there's also free liquor if you're partial to that. The donuts, fresh out of the pan, were to die for.
