I am sorry if someone has already asked this question. Does anyone know which Epcot Food and Wine Festival event Buddy from the show Cake Boss was at last year? I saw that he was there last year, but I didn't say what event he was part of. Thanks for any info!:thumbsup2

I don't recall that Buddy Velastro appeared at the Food & Wine Festival in 2009. He definitely did not do a special event.

Disney released only weekly schedules for the demonstrations so I don't know about that.

I do believe he was at WDW last year to tape a TV show, but I don't recall him making any official appearances at the festival.

On the show it showed him in a tent giving out cannolis to visitors and he said he goes every year. I will just keep checking online.

Nobody gave food samples away at the Food & Wine festival. I can't think of anywhere you could have gotten a free food sample last year.

I'm thinking it was likely he appeared at a Party for the Senses but that costs $135-$225 (depending on whether you want VIP access or not) per person to attend, and the chef lineup at the party isn't available ahead of time, not even online.

Buddy Velastro is not listed as one of the participating chefs or speakers in the 2010 Food and Wine Festival guide:

I know what you're referring to, I saw that episode too. Wasn't that the same one where he made the huge castle cake with all the princesses for his daughter? I was sitting there thinking how much I would love to get to see him when we go to our first F&W festival this October.

Maybe there's a Cake Boss website or at the very least the network's website would surely have a page or two dedicated to the show. I'll bet they would post something about them going down there once it gets closer.

Now if I could just get Curtis Stone to appear there....:rotfl:

HEHE about Curtis Stone. Good idea - will check his site.

I didn't mean he was giving them away for free, I am sure it was a paid event. I was just trying to find out what event :)

I have found references to Buddy Valastro (I have been misspelling it) being a visiting chef at the 2009 festival - he is on a list of participants, but it is not broken down by event.

I still cannot find any reference to what particular event he was featured at, so it might have been something set up specially for his show taping. I still think he might have been at a Party for the Senses but unless someone out there has a Party menu that he's on, I can't say for sure - I know he wasn't at the Halloween one. They don't pre-publish participants in that event.

As I mentioned before, he isn't on the visiting chef list for 2010 at all.

I know he did a Culinary Demonstration on November 8th last year at the Festival Welcome Center. I don't know what he served at that demonstration. I don't know if he participated in the Party for the Senses that weekend or not but he probably did since the theme was Celebrating Italian Cuisine (cannolis). But TDC Nala is right, he's not listed in this year's program.

From 2009 schedule:Sunday, November 08 2:45PM - 3:45PM Culinary Demonstration / Wine Presentation Pastry Chef Buddy Valastro, Carlo's Bakery and TLC-Cake Boss

My wife and I attended Party for the Senses on 11/7 "Celebrating Italian Cuisine" last year and this was the episode from which they filmed at Disney. We happened to sit in the general location from which they were filming and we didn't even realize it until a gentleman we were sharing our table with informed us that he had just interacted with a filming crew at the booth where the Cake Boss was. Shortly thereafter one of the crew members came to our table to have this guy sign a consent form to possibly use his footage on the show. My wife tried the cannolis soon after, and being Italian herself, she absolutely loved them!
