Ok, all these years I have been reading posts about the F&W Fest, wishing I could go. Now, we are going and I can't seem to find anything about it! I realize this is not a DVC thing but I know lots of DVCers go and stay at BCV. Is there any place to find the scoop? Do we need to know about any special reservations ahead of time? Do you still make ps in Epcot or do you somehow eat at the fest? We'll be there for 4 full days and catching MNSSHP for the kiddos (6/2).

How about Beach Club, any requests I should make? Does BCV have long hallways to avoid like some of the others? Is it really walkable to Epcot?

Thanks!!!!

It's great to stay at BCV and stroll in and out of Food and Wine. You'll still want PS for many of your suppers, and there are a couple of special Food and Wine meals you can also PS. However, you'll do fine grazing for lunch and snacks among the many booths. Last year the Australian lamb chops and (of all things) French escargot were particularly delicious. One afternoon I let the rest of the family trudge around AK. I hung back, wandered over to Epcot, and grazed until I nearly exploded.

We loved staying at BCV because yes it is an easy walk to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival. This way you can walk off some of those yummy items! You can find more about it as it gets closer but here are some other links to try...

There are many types of meals you can have and samplings, chefs, etc. But we just enjoy strolling the World Showcase and stopping at all the booths to try different things.
Enjoy!

I'm also thinking of catching the Food & Wine Festival this year.

  • Are there any particular dates to avoid?
  • Is there anything should not be missed?
  • Is it crowded? I like to go when the crowds are really small.
  • Is it hard to get rooms at BCV?
  • Is Veteran's Day more crowded than others?
Thanks in advance - Barrie

Both Barrie and Epcot Mom: One thing you need to know is DON"T WAIT any longer!!! Rooms book up very fast for this, and there is probably very limited availability, if any. Make that call! :goodvibes
