Hi,
A friend and I are planning to go to Epcot for food and wine 2009 :cool1: ...I've never gone before with a friend and not my family (dh and dds)....
1. When do they release the exact dates for food and wine 2009
2. Best resort for a grown up only girly trip? We haven't talked about yet whether or not we'll share a room so suggestions for both scenarios are welcome.
3. When will they release packages/deals for that time period? When is the best time to look?
TIA
sss

Right now is the time to look at the restaurant board. They have many posts about the f&w festival.

Answers to your questions:
1. Usually sometime in the spring/summer

2. Boardwalk, beach club, swan, or dolphin. ( any resort that you can walk to
epcot).

3. I dont recall seeing package deals for food and wine festival. But then
again I am a DVC owner.

enjoy your year of planning and anticipation!!

2009 F&W will be 9/25 to 11/8

Stay at Boardwak, Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club/Beach Club (can walk directly o
festival)

Don't believe there are any pkg deals out there.

Book asap, very popular time there and be ready for some huge crowds, esp on the weekends.

Try and make it to the Party for the Senses, wonderful but $$$.

I don't know that there are any deals out yet. I was lucky enough to get a bounceback deal with free dining for Sept 26-Oct 4th. I think F&W starts the first weekend I'm there. I know the dates are posted somewhere, but I spend so much time clicking on stuff around here :surfweb: I can never find anything twice.

I've got my 4th F&W Festival trip booked already for next year. The first trip was with my teenage DD, the last 2 were with friends, and next year it's me and my DH. I've stayed at the CR and the Poly, and prefer the Poly. The grounds are beautiful, and the transportation to both MK and Epcot are great. I second the tip about going to PFTS. There were a few problems this year, but I still had a great time. I also love MNSSHP-I've had a blast every year I've gone :). Usually tickets for MNSSHP go on sale in April. F&W Festival information starts trickling out in late spring, and hard ticket event information gets released over the summer.

F&WF always starts the last weekend of Sept & ends the first weekend in Nov. (9/25 - 11/8)

Boardwalk is the best hands down! Especially for an adult trip. You have great nightlife right at your hotel (bars/club, restaurants, "street" performers, bakery, ice cream shop, etc.) & you are walking distance to Epcot's back door which puts you right at the start of WS which means F&WF!

We are going Sept 29 - Oct 10 & staying at BWV bw view!!

I'm so excited!!!

Whichever resort you choose will be good, but I deffinetly suggest either Boardwalk, Beachclub or Yacht Club (Swan/Dolphin you don't get all the Disney perks), but my preference is BW, in case you couldn't tell. ;)

I wish we could afford to stay at a Deluxe hotel, but we are just as happy staying at All Stars. My DF and I have gone a couple of times and have not been disappointed. We go during free dining and pay $80 or so for the room.
I hope you can afford to go to your choice of resort.

My second favorite resort is POP & I am a DVC member, so don't feel like you're missing out that much. I love POP- it feels so Disney & it has the BEST bus service at of all the resorts I've stayed at too.

Anywhere on property is better than not at all & if All Stars are anything like POP, you're not missing out. :thumbsup2

For the Food & Wine Festival, Disney's Boardwalk Inn is the best resort. Just to be able to hit World Showcase throught the International Gateway makes it ideal, but the restaurants and bars make it even better.
