We are renting a DVC 1 BR at the VWL in 11/06.

Canyone recommend an off property place to buy food, drinks and booze that doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Thank you.

We usually go to Publix. There are several of them within a couple miles of WDW.

Publix Supermarket, 8145 Vineland Ave is the one we go to.

I like publix too...

the city name is Lake Buena VIsta, the zipcode is 32830.

are you flying or driving?

First we go to Sams Club to get the big stuff and fill up on cheap gas.

Then we go to Super Target for the rest of the food and the things we forgot to bring (like hand soap or gloves).

If we need to shop again, we go to Publix. I miss that store here in NC.

When do you have time to go to the parks? :rotfl:

I was thinking that. I do one stop at Publix. Yes the other's may be a little cheaper, but I am on vacation.

Believe it or not, we enjoy going to these places, just as I do at home!

We are driving down from NJ. Leaving NJ 11/3 at 7pm arrived by 1pm on 11/4.

We now always take the Amtrak Autotrain from Va to Fla. We purchase everything we need and pack it into our car. Then we board the train (along with our car), have a real nice dinner, watch a movie, drink some of the wine we brought with us, go to bed, wake up, and magically we are in Florida. We have met many people from NJ on the train. It is the way to go. After our first trip we learned it is well worth it to get a sleeper cabin.
