Hi everyone!

I'm getting excited now, and thinking about all the little things! Does anyone know what meals and drinks we'll get on our economy Virgin flight from Heathrow to Miami at 11.50am? Also does anyone know what terminal this flight will be from? And what restaurants etc are in the departure lounge? Also (just useful to know!) is the drink-drive policy in Florida the same as in the UK, or is it zero tolerance?

Thanks :goodvibes

i was wondering a very similar thing concerning food... and i also can't seem to find anywhere how many free drinks you can get on board!

my parent's got a stack of miniatures handed to them when we made the same trip in 1996, but i have no idea if it's the same now!

I would guess they will do a drinks round then lunch - hot meal.

Mid flight they will serve some sort of ice cream.

Before landing they will serve afternoon tea.

You can get drinks from the galley at anytime. They quite often walk through offering juice or water.

This is the law in Florida:

Under Florida law, DUI is one offense, proved by impairment of normal faculties or unlawful blood alcohol or breath alcohol level of .08 or above. The penalties upon conviction are the same, regardless of the manner in which the offense is proven.

Personally, I would treat it as a zero tolerance, you really don't want to face the repercussions of being found over the limit! Big fines, impounding of vehicle, payment for bail. This would totally ruin your holiday and then some! :scared1:

Take this advise from someone who has been through the consequences, (and that's just in the UK!) don't touch a drop if you intend to drive!

On Orlando flights, you get a drink, then hot lunch, an ice cream and then usually a sandwich for afternoon tea.

Virgin used to fly from Terminal 3 at Heathrow, but this may have changed due to the improvement works currently going on to Heathrow

You can go and ask for a drink whenever you want, your not limited to how many drinks you want

Thanks everyone :goodvibes I'm so so excited! Looking forward to making the most of the unlimited drinks on the way home when I don't have to drive :rotfl2: Can't wait!!!

When I am on the way home all I want to do is sleep - especially as it's a night flight that lands at 7am.

Hehe fair enough! Our flight leaves at 20.30 so I expect we'll have some drinks with our dinner! We're night owls so will need a few if we're going to get any sleep

Same here! I have always been a night person...

When I was last at WDW (15 years ago when I was 8), I didn't sleep at all on the way back on a similar flight. I was the only one in sight that was still up and the Stewardesses kept on bringing me cans of virgin cola as i played 8 straight hours of super nintendo. Amazing!
