Hi everyone! I unfortunately am severely allergic to shellfish (i.e shrimp, crab, squid, etc). I was wondering if anyone tell me if there are plenty of options for me that don't include shellfish in the dish at all. From some of the online videos I have watched most people were recommending dishes I can not eat.

Thank you!

There will be plenty of options as long as you notify DCL ahead of time that you have the allergy. Your dinner server should bring you a menu each night (for the next night) for you to pre-order your meal so it can be prepared as you need it to be.

There may not be as many available to you in the buffet, however, but you can speak to a chef who can walk the line with you to point out those things that should be "safe".

One of my children has a shellfish allergy, so they did exactly as the first response on here said: the food was ordered the night before (and prepared in a separate kitchen to prevent cross contamination) for the next dinner. Our head server was great about watching our for him, and for making recommendations for him.

For lunches (at the buffet and grill) we could ask what was safe and what potentially wasn't, and the day we ate at Royal Court for lunch the servers were immediately aware of the allergen status when they looked at our information (provided from our table number) right after we were seated.

There's plenty of options. I'm allergic to all seafood, not just shellfish and I had no problems finding lots of stuff to eat.

There will be lots of options. Be sure to check, check and recheck. There was a man on our 2015 WBPC cruise that had an anaphylactic reaction to shellfish cross contamination on the Wonder. We were served something that DD was allergic to as well, but caught it before she ate it (after they assured us it was "safe"). Another lady on our cruise also had an anaphylactic reaction to something as well, but I am not sure what it was to.

I don't have an allergy, but I don't eat any seafood what so-ever, and i've never gone hungry on the ship. I eat wonderful food.

Thank you all so much I'll deffinitly make sure to let them know. I'm so happy they go much out of the way!

You will be fine with plenty of food options. I hate fish. The only thing I can eat from the ocean is lobster. You will have plenty of things to pick from steak, chicken, veggie meals etc.

Just a word of caution about buffets and allergies: Even though you think the food is safe, you may get cross contamination from someone swapping tongs or a spatula between the various trays.
