Food Allergy Question

Hello,

We are heading to the World in 3 weeks.

My son and I are both allergic to tomatoes. I have never notified Disney in the past because it was just me that had the issue and I was pretty good at managing not to eat any. But now that it is the both of us where and how do I make sure it is noted on our ressies. Also this allergy for my son is not anafilactic it is behavioral, will that make s difference on what they will do?

with food allergies. I think a behavioral impact, while not as bad as an anafilactic impact, is still worthy of noting on your ADRs. The short answer is to have it noted on when you make your ADRs. The long answer is covered on the Disney site:

However, it is ultimately always up the Guest to use his or her individual discretion to make an informed choice regarding whether to order any particular items, since the Walt Disney Company cannot guarantee that allergens may not have been introduced during another stage of the food chain process—or even inadvertently—by us.

Food Allergies and Intolerances
Walt Disney World Resort table service restaurants that accept reservations can accommodate most food allergies and food intolerances—such as gluten or wheat, shellfish, soy, lactose or milk, peanuts, tree nuts, fish or eggs. Please contact one of our representatives at 407-824-5967 once you have booked your dining reservations, at least 14 days in advance. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

If you have multiple allergies, please contact one of our representatives before you finalize your trip to Walt Disney World Resort to discuss your allergies, as we cannot guarantee we will be able to meet your requests. Please note we do not have separate kitchens to prepare allergen free items or separate dining areas for Guests with allergies to dine.

Making a Special Dietary Request for Table Service Locations
To make a special dietary request, call the Disney's Dining Reservation Center at (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

Indicate to the Cast Member at Disney's Dining Reservation Center your special dietary requests.
Know that your special dietary request will be noted by the Cast Member on your reservation.
Write down the dining location phone number(s) that the Cast Member provides you, as well as your reservation number and the day and time of your reservation.
Please contact one of our representatives at 407-824-5967 once you have booked your dining reservations, at least 14 days in advance.
Please feel welcome to speak to the chef or manager on duty when you arrive at your dining location.

I don't think Disney cares what your reaction is they just want to prevent it. Call the reservation number and tell them you want to add it to your dining reservations they will note it and then it wouldn't hurt to mention at each restaurant either when you check in or to your server.
My DH is allergic to shellfish and mangos. We spoke to our server about it and if it is a buffet they usually send a Chef out to go through the buffet and let you know what not to eat. If you are ordering from a menu usually the server can steer you away from dishes you want to avoid.

It doesn't matter what the reaction is Disney will be able to handle something simple like tomatoes. It gets more complicated with things like nuts where some people are so sensitive to nuts that they can't even eat foods that have been produced in the same factory whereas I am allergic to nuts but haven't had an anaphylatic reaction so I am normally allowed to eat foods produced in the same factory stuff. At WDW most of the Chefs won't even let me have the produced in the same factory stuff which is frustrating because it really narrows my options especially because I have a few other allergies. In essence they will normally be super cautious and they don't ask exactly what reaction you would have.
