I'm wondering if anyone has an email address for someone at Disneyland to contact regarding my daughters tree nut allergy? I have one for Disneyworld but not Disneyland. Thanks!

I don't have a number sorry. But I can tell you, do not let your daughter eat the free bread (don't remember the name of the place, its across from the tortilla factory) you get on the tour at CA. My DD 9 also has a tree nut allergy and she had a reaction after eating the bread. They don't have any signs posted so I thought I would give you a heads up. We did ask after the fact and they told us there are no nuts in the bread but it is processed in a plant that does.

go to disneyland.com, click on contact us (bottom of page) from their you can get email & phone contact numbers. You can also go to City Hall on main street for information while you are there.

Seriously?! That seems like a really, really dumb thing for them to hand out to unsuspecting people if they know that. Isn't that potentially fatal to someone with a severe enough allergy?

It's called the Boudin Bakery Factory right across from the Mission Tortilla Factory :thumbsup2

Unless it was from some type of cross contamination I don't see how the bread caused an allergy. It is sourdough bread, no nuts in it that I have ever seen.

I was in DL in Feb of this year with our 2 boys with food allergies. They are allergic to all nuts & annatto.

The person that I was put in contact with was Chef Chris Justesen, his email addess is: chris.justesen@disney.com. He was very knowledgable when I spoke with him.

I want to warn you that Disneyland is not as allergy aware as WDW. You will have to ask at every restrauant about the ingrediants. When we where there in Feb, most places just brought out the "box" with the label...so I could check the ingredients myself. The first time it happened I was very surprised. I was expecting them to hand me an ingredients book like in WDW.

We have been to WDW & DCL many, many times because they are so allergy aware. I was a little disappointed in the fact that DL, was not as allergies friendly as WDW.

In WDW in Dec 2009, many of the chef went out of their way to create special desserts for my sons. Not once did this happen at DL. We were there to celebrate my DS 12th birthday. We had reservations for a nice dinner at Hook's Pointe at DLH...and there was no "safe" dessert...for the birthday boy. I was really disappointed! This had never happend at WDW.

Oh this is disappointing! We are planning on eating only counter service at Disneyland and I wanted to ask about specific dishes (chicken tenders, hot dog buns etc) so I wouldn't have to worry about it when we are there. WDW has been awesome at helping me so far.

Call Disney Dining, ask to be put through to the chef in charge of allergies/sensitivies/food choices. It might take awhile and a few tries, but ultimately you should be put through to a voicemail. Quickly and clearly state your name, phone number, and exact problems/questions. They should get back to you quickly.

That is exactly it. Yes the bread does not have any nuts but it is processed in a place that does use tree nuts (in other products). That is what I was told after the fact at first aid. They were very nice and quite a few people got involved but was not fun for my daughter. She didn't feel good for the rest of the day and to top it off it was her Birthday.
