When is the best time to let DCL know we have a child with food allergies? On the ship or somehow add it to the reservation? Thanks!

Have it added to the reservation and request a medical form to fax in.

Yes, mention it at the time of reservation and make sure you fax the medical form at least 14 days from the sailing date.

Have a great cruise!:thumbsup2

DCL is totally wonderful about allergies. Yes, let them know on your reservation thru the medical form. At dinner the first night, the head server will come to your table and review the allergy issues with you. If necessary, one of the chefs will also come talk with you. They will even prepare special food for your child if necessary.

The buffets are a little more difficult, but only a little. You will need to alert the CM when you enter the buffet area. They will get a head server who will talk with you about what is safe for your child. They will also discuss the preparation of the food on the deck 9 outlets if necessary (like which ice creams are peanut safe, etc).

They really take care of things in the dining room. Obviously, mom needs to be a little more vigilant on deck 9.

More info than you wanted? sorry.
