We will be back in about 3 weeks, but it seems there are some changes since our past visits (2000, 1997, 1991)....

What an awesome character meal they used to have at Confiscos! We were practically the only ones there in 2000-it was never well publicizied. We had Grinch, Cat in the Hat, Spiderman, Dudley Do Right, and more come to our tables...it was GREAT!!

Also, there used to be a closing stunt show on the lagoon in US. I don't think it's still there, but maybe it is...does anyone know?

I know my kids will love the new Nicktoons ride (replacing Hanna Barbara), but what about that neat Flintstone themed playroom exiting the ride? Did something replace it?

And, saddest of all, King Kong. I thought that was an AWESOME attraction. Too bad that's gone.

Oh well..I'm sure there will be new fun things, but I'll miss those. Any others have memories of attractions/restaurants now gone???

Sadly, no, it's gone. sigh.

It's a whole Nicktoons area, you might even see Spongebob in there...

And, saddest of all, King Kong. I thought that was an AWESOME attraction. Too bad that's gone.

Anyone remember the Bandits Out of Time show from the IOA preview days? I didn't think it was all too great. I did see their float in a Mardi Gras parade once. :)

I think those were great attractions, but I feel that Universal is just updating things and making themselves more of a competition to other attractions. They truly have stepped up to the plate and provide an outstanding guest experience.

Can you tell I'm hooked???? LOL....

The old U.S. Dynamite Nights Stuntacular? With the boat that exploded, that was cool. I think when the park first opened it was called a Miami Vice stunt show, but I'm not sure about that.

I remember some other smaller things from the early days of US, like "How to make a mega movie deal", which was between the mexican restaurant and the ET area. It was a small movie about a person working in the mail room at Universal, then becoming a star.

I remember the different aspects of the backlot tour, stuff like that.

When we were there in 1991, there was a place you could make a video. We were superimposed into a Star Trek film with the real actors from the show. The end result was hysterical! Too bad they don't bring that back.

Dont' laugh.. Got one at home of me and the family on the Enterprise. Great stuff! What about the old Norman Bates house. Is it still there...:Pinkbounc

We have one of these great Star Trek videos too! I really wish they'd bring that back. The end result is truly hillarious.
The Norman Bates house is gone now -- it was near where the Woody Woodpecker Kidzone is now. I really wish they'd bring back the stunt show on the lagoon too -- that was great.
