Hi Disfriends!
I will be going to WDW later in August. I am an AP holder, and originally this trip was going to be a quick solo trip. I have not needed DAS for awhile so I haven't asked for this accommodation, especially since the changes Disney made last year. However, I have had some disease progression that led me to request DAS for this trip, and luckily it was granted. I mentioned during my video chat with the CM that due to my disease progression, I might have my adult DSs come on the trip, but at that point I wasn't sure. The CM acknowledged that he saw my sons as part of my friends and family on MDE, and that it wouldn't be a problem if they decided to accompany me. But, I honestly can't remember if he said to do another video chat to add them.
My sons are definitely going to join me on the trip and I have booked rooms at CS for us. I also purchased them APs this morning. I wanted to make sure that there would be no problems with my kids joining me on the DAS, so I called WDW today. While the CM I spoke to was lovely, I hung up from the call not exactly confident that all would be well. She indicated that it wouldn't be a problem at all to have my DSs as part of my DAS because they are already listed as part of my friends and family on MDE. I reiterated that I wanted to make sure they were listed on my DAS, and she told me not to worry about it.
Because I haven't had DAS for awhile, I wanted to check with you folks. Is the CM right? Will I be all set because my kids are listed as part of my friends and family in MDE? Or, should I do more digging to somehow officially add them to my DAS party? If so, should I call back and speak to a different CM? Or, should I do another DAS video chat to confirm this?
Any advice anyone has would be terrific. Thank you!
