Follow-up stroller question

Now I'm thinking that we might need to rent a double stroller for DD6 and DS5 when we go in Nov. I'll rent when we get there, because like others have said, I don't need it at the airport, resort, etc.

That said, I was wondering if anyone has a picture of the double strollers available for rent at the parks? I'm thinking that if they are the kind they have at Legoland, basically a rolling bench where the kids legs stick out straight in front of them, my extra tall 6 yo might not be comfortable. Also, are they moulded plastic? Should I bring beach towels or throw blankets to soften? Want to know what I'll be getting before I go. Thx!

They are the molded plastic and they have an awning over the top that you can move around. They are a little bit different at each park, but similar enough and they all have the same features including a pocket on the back to carry your stuff. I would still bring a backpack or something though. We didn't ever leave our stuff in the stroller. And the pockets are not big enough for a regular sized backpack. Also there's no storage underneath. We used a caribeener (sp?) to attach our backpack to the back handle. They are very easy to push and steer though and they don't tip too easily. I was pleased w/them and would suggest paying up front for the number of days you'll be there. That way you eliminate standing in line every day to pay which takes way longer than just picking up your stroller. Your six year old may not be super comfortable, but he probably won't want to ride the whole time. Plus it's not like they sit in the stroller all day long without getting out to stretch their legs. They're in and out a million times.

JMHO, but if I were you I would consider renting a double stroller from A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com). We rented a park stroller the first day we were there and our little ones hated it. During the day we saw a very nice double stroller with a rental ID on it and we asked the people about it. Long story short (too late) it was ABBF, so we called and they had a nice, VERY CLEAN and COMFY stoller out to us before we went to the parks the next day, and it had lots of storage space.

They are awesome, and we had it all the time we were there, so we used it on the Boardwalk in the evenings and around the mall one day. The kicker is for the week it ended up being less expensive than if we had used the park stroller. They were a real lifesaver, (or I should say vacation-saver. . .).

I am a big ABBF fan and their website is fabulous with photos and all. The folks are rellay great, too.

Sorry to ramble, but I guess that's what these boards are for; information sharing.

Have fun!
