Arrived Sunday... As stated before, Fort Wilderness logo-ed merchandise is going away. The only thing we found was a tire cover - no shirts, jackets, hats of any kind. Sad. I so wanted a sweatshirt or jacket with the Fort Wilderness logo. Also, if you are a Coke (diet Coke) person, I wouldn't bother with the refillable cup unless you are near the Settlement. The Meadows area where you can refill your cup is only open 11-5. Now on to Animal Kingdom! Judy

That really stinks about the merchandise. We enjoy getting something new now and then, like a sweatshirt. I think that's a mistake, but there obviously is a financial reason they are doing it.

As far as the drink refills go, can you not refill at the Meadow trading post during business hours? Are you referring to the pool snack bar or the trading post being open 11-5? Thanks!

Are all the resorts doing away with resort specific merchandise or is it just FW? :confused3

We were there the week before Labor Day. The Fort Wilderness stuff is going away. We almost bought a wind jacket but it was $70 just for a very light weight wind jacket! Just too much. I didn't like the new t shirts of Fort Wilderness so I didn't get one. So....we didn't get anything FW.

We were in the 400 loop and the kids rode up to the trails end take out each day for drinks. My husband went every morning for coffee. This was not a problem. I don't like coke though. I wish they had more of a variety and tea.

There is nothing for the mugs at the Meadows trading post except coffee, hot tea and hot chocolate.

The pool snack bar is seasonable but you can get refills there. They were closing it the day we left for the slow season, I guess.

For your future reference, you can refill your mug with hot tea or iced tea at Trail's End. Look, it is posted right here on this sign:

There is no self-serve iced tea, though. You have to ask a castmember (good luck finding one at certain times of day) to fetch your tea.

I found Fort Wilderness logo stuff! The Meadows store had a 2009 Fort Wilderness Christmas ornament and several pen light key chains, both on sale. The Settlement store has the same pen light key chains, but not on sale. Go figure. Both stores have T-shirts, travel mugs, towels, canteens, and a plastic trailer hitch cover with a different logo - not the diamond shaped Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground logo. This logo is a Fort Wilderness banner with the Disney characters participating in various campground activities. You have to look really hard or ask because they are not being displayed prominently. I stopped by Wilderness Lodge to look around and the manager in the store explained that only 4 resorts will have any logo merchandise at all. He let me know in no uncertain terms that Wildeness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground are in no way connected. They won't be adding a "Fort" rocker to any of their logo-ed merchandise. Oh well... I saved myself the $$ I would have spent on a fleece jacket or nice sweatshirt. ...and since that is what I had my heart set on and Disney has not yet put out their fall and winter merchandise, I'll take that money home with me. Having a great time... Judy

Judy, thanks for the shopping update! When I was there for Labor Day weekend I saw some FW merchandise - mostly tee shirts, the tire cover, and the hitch cover - at the Meadows Trading Post. I wish I had found the keychain you mention! I went everywhere looking for a FW keychain. Oh well. I did buy the hitch cover. It looks cute on my minivan although my husband rolled his eyes at it. I wish the artwork was more, well, fort-like, with Musket Mickey or something, but it is cute just the same.
