Is there any difference between where you are seated if you have FP for the show, or is everyone merged as you go in? If there is a difference, is the regular or FP seating better?

I don't know if there are specific areas that are for FP+, but it's theatre in the round, so there really isn't a bad seat in the house.

Yes, the seating is divided into "sections". If you have a FP+, you're in a separate line than standby and are directed to a different section. I don't think there's any difference in seating as far as one being better than the other, IMO.

Well. sorta.
What you said is accurate enough, but if both lines were let in at the same time,
(they are not) that would be more of a factor.
What happens is that all of the FP+ guests are admitted first, before they let in the standby guests.

Once FP guests are seated, the standby guests can choose virtually any of the remaining seats
(with a bit of "direction" given by the CMs herding guests inside the theater.)

We have our preferred seating location in the theater and virtually always get to sit there.
(And, we never get a FP for the show.)
