Used to love Folgers Columbian coffee. Every now and then though, I would get an "off" container. Now it seems as if it is more often bad than good. Has anyone else noticed this?

Yes! At first I thought I was adding too much water (got a new coffee pot) but then I realized it was the coffee. Glad to hear it wasn't my imagination!

Had the same experience with the Folgers French Roast. We switched to classic and haven't had a problem, but I'm not enjoying my coffee as much as I used to.

That's the coffee the drugs were smuggled in :rotfl2: JK!!!

Try DD. That's all my DH will drink.

My mom drank Folgers for years. Recently, it stopped tasting good...very weak, so she stopped drinking it. At first she thought it was our new coffee pot but she bought another type of coffee (Dunkin Donuts) and it tasted fine. P&G sold Folgers to another company (Smuckers), so maybe they changed it or something?

Thanks for the replies. I am at the bottom of a great container and am dreading opening the next one. I can tell how it is going to taste just by the aroma when I open it. I did notice this problem before Smuckers took over. I really should call the number on the Folgers container and ask what is going on. To me it's not just that it is weaker, although it is. It just doesn't have that rich flavor. It tastes kind of stale.:confused3

I can't drink anything other than Folgers - or it chews up my stomach..

I always purchase the Classic - which son-in-law is still getting for himself here - but right around Christmas, I switched to their Half-Caf.. I haven't noticed anything different with either of them and if there was a difference in the kind that I'm drinking, I would know it in a heartbeat!!

I wonder if it's just certain formulas that are tasting different : Breakfast Blend; Country Roast; etc. ?? :confused3

Haven't noticed it but then again we drink it strong anyway.

I only buy the 100% Colombian too. The others are too weak.

I don't buy the dark because it tastes burnt to me.

We've switched to the Black Silk. Might want to try it.

I switched away from Folgers. I just bought a bag of Eight O'Clock Coffee. Consumer Reports just did a piece this month on coffee and that was rated their top brand.

We've always bought Maxwell House or Eight O'Clock, whichever is on sale.

I alternate Folgers and Hills Brothers and haven't had problems. We do the very dark though and make it a little under the expresso level.
