Foldable wheelchair - a pain on the bus?

We're staying at Pop the last week of August, and I may bring a wheelchair along for DD (she has Ehlers- Danlos Syndrome and lots of joint pain). I figured it would be nice to have not only at the parks, so we can do long walks around the resort, walk over to AOA to look around & eat once or twice, etc... My friend has one we can borrow that she said is super easy to fold & lightweight (it was used by her mom for a short while).

Since my daughter is ambulatory, she won't need to sit in it on the bus. We'd like to fold it and carry it on the bus, like a stroller. But has anyone done this, and is it okay (assuming it's light enough - I'm sure it is)?

DD really wants to stay at Pop, and we just booked the week we wanted with free QS dining to boot! I'm cool with it, as it sounds fun! But the drawback over something like an Epcot resort is that we'll take a bus everywhere (Epcot resorts are my fave, but this trip with tickets and dining and room is costing us less than just the room with a 30% discount did last month!).

Do they make you put the chair out of the aisle? I know the drivers want you do do that if you can with strollers (or at least we used to have to do that - our bulky double stroller was a pain, but worth it once we'd get to where we were going).

Thanks, All!

We do this all the time. Wait for the bus in the marked HC spot, so the bus driver will see you and your chair. When he opens the back door, tell him that your DD will transfer to a seat. You can either use the ramp to wheel the chair on board, or, if your DD can step up into the bus by herself, you can just lift the chair on. Once your DD is seated, fold the chair and hold it sideways in front of you so other guests can walk past it. We usually chose to sit in the seats opposite the back door, providing an ecv wasn't already strapped in there. You will board before the ambulatory guests, but will exit last, after they have left. Easy peasy.

It will be faster to fold it than to have it tied down too.
And, those who need to ride in their wheelchairs will be very happy since it allows more wheelchairs/ECVs to be loaded.

NOTE: edited a very funny typo. My iPad decided the first sentence needed to auto correct to include the word iTunes
