Does anyone know if staying onsite to get the FOL benefit will help with lines for the new Harry Potter area?

Also, we have never been to US. We are thinking of going this Aug. 2nd week, I think. Is 3 days enough time? Can we add a day if we want more time (the way Disney lets you upgrade)?

What I am thinking is staying onsite 1 night, which I think would mean we could get FOL access for 2 days, then a 3rd day focusing on things FOL is irrelevant for.

In terms of crowds/wait times what is US like? In terms of walking/space between things is it more compact than MK or about the same?

1. For the Forbidden Journey, it looks like you get to use the Express Pass once a day.
2. Three days at US is probably good enough. There are only two parks anyways and you can probably finish one park in a day with the Express Pass. I'm not sure about adding a day, but I think they do allow ticket upgrades.
3. If you stay one night, you get the Express Pass benefit for the day you check in and out meaning 2 days.
4. For US, I believe the wait times will be crazy as WWOHP is opening this June.

When I booked the Harry Potter vacation package a few days ago, I asked the same question. I was told that there would be no FOTL in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. At least for a long time.

We haven't been on a Universal vacation since 2008, and when I booked for sept. I was told we would have FOL for everything excluding the usual PF, and Forbidden Journey would be only once per day.
